Hanmer Springs, South Island of New Zealand. Two boys and their dad in the current WHU Shirt at the time. They had just immigrated over there.

Met a Thai security guard who was a Hammer. However, it was in the Wellcome Library for the History of Medicine, just before I headed over to the Stadium the last time I went to a game.

Never West Ham in my travels, but that has been mostly limited to North America. When I was back home, I did have a momentarily concerning experience when a cop car blipped its siren at me and the officer pointed at my West Ham scarf. Turns out he was from originally Bolton and just wanted to talk football. It was not that long before they had pretty much sealed our relegation, so he enjoyed that.

Furthest afield was Melbourne - went to see Melbourne Victory v Sydney and was sat next to a bloke in a West Ham shirt

Weirdest place was while climbing a waterfall in Kandy, Sri Lanka. Sri Lankan guide was a Hammer

Have met Hammers in Mumbai, Singapore, Langkawi, New York and Texas as well

Re: West Ham fans overseas.where you seen them?
My first law firm went through a stage of employing Kiwi's (travellers basically) on short term contracts and 3 of them in a row were Hammers.

Took them all to away games and bizarrely the people travelling with them were also West Ham, so am thinking we're popular in New Zealand!

Years before Winston Reid as well.

And once opened my wallet at a bar in Copenhagen and the woman next to me got mentally excited at the sight of the season ticket in my wallet. If I hadn't broken my ankle a few hours before, it could well have been her unlucky night!!

On my honeymoon, we did a bit of island hoping around Greece and booked a different hotel every 2 days. When in Kos, there was a guy in a West Ham shirt at the bar. Made good friends and still talk to him now. On the way home from the honeymoon - Bodrum airport in Turkey, a 50 something women behind me in the TIW shirt.

Then the cabbie from outside the Guiness factory in Dublin said he was a hammer and got over to UP at least 4 times a year.

Was quite surprised to walk into a West Ham pub in Milan.

Walked around partisan Belgrade FC and a few workers sang bubbles at me ,they were fans of Green Street ,

Met a few of you on my travels either via work or holiday.

I live near Scafell Pike & have a West Ham beanie hat so it might have been me!

Scafell is in UK though so does it count?

Plenty of West Ham fans in Trinidad & Tobago when I had a place there (probably to do with Shaka Heslop-?)

Also seen our fans in Margarita, Venezuela, Cuba & more rarely, in Jamaica

Worked in The Hague for 5 weeks with my Uncle who used to get large Roofing contracts out there. Used to drink with him in Irish bars and our local Dutch bar which was 1€ for a bottle. One night I was out on my own think it was O’ Caseys and the first bloke I spoke to at the Bar was a Hammer who was from Romford and had lived out there years. Nice bloke

Swiss. 4:53 Sun Feb 11

I know it, but I was too busy being a single parent to have time to go into bars (to watch football).

When we ate out we tended to stick to a few bars/restaurants/cafes in and around Scheveningen, where we lived.

That being said, there was a group of fans who'd take the kat over on a Saturday morning from HvH - the timings meant they could get to a game, and, if all was well, get back to Harwich again that evening for the return crossing.

I have bumped into fellow WH fans in Queenstown, NZ; Manley (Sydney) in Oz & many times in Paphos, Cyprus to name but 3 places. We have extraordinary global support for a team that that has won so little, for so many years. Some of it still seems to be be based on our 66 WC win!

Cup final against the scouse in The Mad Dog in the Fog here in SF.The place was rammed with Hammers, not just Scouse haters, but full on wearing the jersey Hammers. There were also about 8 bikers from some Oakland chapter wearing the colours and inked up with WH tatts. Also saw three in Hawaii on the same day.

Blew me away tbh.

I've seen traces, like West Ham shirts pinned to walls in bars, alongside other club's (but not part of a collection that includes every club), but never met any.

Unless you count Scotland.
